Track: Mido+Giri | 미도+길이 Artist: Just Nochang | 그냥 노창 Hello everyone! The song "Mido" references the 2003 film Oldboy throughout its entirety. With the exception of 1 or 2 lines, I chose not to annotate these references as they would largely be meaningless to anyone who has not seen the film. (If you have seen the movie, you will probably recognize many of the characters and scenes that Nochang alludes to.) For those who have not seen Oldboy, I hope this aids in your general understanding of the song: Nochang draws parallels between his life and 1 year hiatus with that of Oh Daesu's 15 year imprisonment. Mido is the name of the girl that Oh Daesu comes to love. If you are curious about the references that are present in nearly every line or want a deeper insight into the song's meaning, I suggest you watch the film.
