I hope you guys are all doing well during holidays ! The past few months/weeks have been quite harsh on me in terms of time. Since I’ve started my Masters (I’m currently on my final year at university), I’ve been switching between work/study/university/chaos … and a little bit of time for food and sleep orz But I have to admit I love what I’ve been doing those past weeks in terms of knowledge stimulus ! Though, some weeks ago, I felt such a vital need to work on a cover that I went home and decided to work on the instrumental of this song that I was craving to cover since it was out, in October 2018. So here it is, I decided to cover Flamingo by Kenshi Yonezu. I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it tbh. Definitely the kind of music I needed in my life at that precise time haha! The song was super fun to record ! For the video, I decided that this time, instead of going for a digitally drawn/animated video, I’d use some aesthetic footages that I took during my various exploring sessions in Paris/Toronto at night. They took me quite some time to figure out angles, speed, motion, etc. I had some few partners in crime for this video: Maiko, Gon and Hinoe recorded some few footages for me in Toronto and Chinh helped me most of the time in Paris. Bless you all for your help !!! The album Boo:ooM is still work in progress. I have remaining tracks to compose and quite some lyrics to write. I feel working on this cover helped me improving my quality standards and I hope it will translate well enough for the album !! The video is also under progress: Steel showed me some animation wip and they look very promising. For now I can’t give final release date yet since I still have a lot to do and little time. Though I have 2 nice free weeks right now so I’ll be able to make some progress on that end ; ) Anyways, I hope you guys will enjoy my last cover for 2018 !!
