Happy New Year 2021 !! I hope you are all doing good, that your families and friends are all going well and that last year was still an okay year for you despite all the mess ! It has been a huuuuuge amount of time since I last uploaded a video ! Last time was last summer and since then I’ve become a bit busy with life but still managed to work on ongoing projects at a slower pace (current covers, Boo:ooM). Overall, last year has been quite challenging in terms of self-management and inspiration. I took long before finding the pace and mindset to work back on long term projects but I finally got the grasp of it and am ready to kick butts! Today’s video is a band arrangement of the song Daddy! Daddy! Do! from the anime Kaguya-sama: Love is war, sung by Masayuki Suzuki and Airi Suzuki. Right when the song came out, I immediately felt “this is my jam !!!!” and decided to cover it. For this project, an all time inspiration and incredible song writer Farhan Sarasin worked on the arrangement of most of the instrumental, then completed by the guitar and brass section played by the Project Mikan (who also happen to be featured in Boo:ooM … but you’ll see later!) I asked Shannon to be my partner in crime on the singing part of this song. We asked lame dancers to perform for us … jkjk, that was my (bad) idea; we look cringy but it was a super fun choreo to record. Mixing so many instruments while making it sound wide and punchy was a very challenging part but Iearned tons in the process of it. It ended up being one of my proudest mixes so far. Big thanks to Fome, Eva and Farhan for providing such detailed mix feedbacks in the process of it ! Visuals is what took the longest to finish, from the learning process, to recording all different videos and then going nuts with the video editing but I am so happy with the end result. Kumo helped me a lot on the last fixes and Malcolm (@malcolmklau) has been such a great teacher, helping me with the title screen sequence, so I want to thank them both 3000 for their time and help !! This video would not have been the same without the crazy yet incredibly talented people that collabed with me so I wanna thank for from the deep of my heart.
