Playing out as background, Bay area legends San Francisco TKO's - more famous for their northern soul gem “Make Up Your Mind” - turn out this awesome rolita - a' 72 cover of Smokey's “Ooh Baby Baby” for SF's Golden Soul, featuring Penny Lewis on vocals. The group was created by “Hard Punchin'” Herman Henry - husband of 70s soul queen Dorothy Morrison - and director at S.F.’s soul station, KSOL. Supposedly, at various points, the group had a multiracial band, befitting its Bay Area roots but sadly, they never got around to recording much beyond a handful of songs. Enjoy !
