Each holiday consists of a block of four days that operate on the weekend schedule so I spent Christmas Day into Boxing Day in the hospital's Pediatric floor unit. Safe to say my senior and I are a white cloud team because I had the time of my life on my favorite holiday. I was dressed cute, all the nurses kept trying to feed me, and for the first time in residency, I actually slept a little bit on a 24-hour shift I woke up hourly to make sure I didn't miss a message though).
