MDMAmakeup's video: I was discriminated and publicly humiliated by the City of Los Angeles for having nose surgery

@I was discriminated and publicly humiliated by the City of Los Angeles for having "nose surgery"
Disclaimer: I'm still on a lot of medication Today I finally got the surgery I've been waiting to get for years, a septioplasty. I struggled for years to breathe, I'm constantly sick with sinus infections, my allergies sometimes make it unable to do my job, and I'm no longer able to sing (not that I was ever great). My surgery today couldn't have gone better but I was obviously messed up after it, and still am writing this from the drugs. My mom came to LA to help me recover and I needed to get a parking pass for her. After my surgery this morning we stopped by the LADOT in Van Nuys, California to pick up a simple pass while I was waiting on my prescriptions to be filled. I waited in the car while my mom ran inside with my ID, my lease, and my credit card to pay. When she told them her daughter just had nose surgery and was in the car their tone changed and they refused to help her. They said they would only talk to me in person. I already received a parking ticket last night for parking on my own street in front of my house so that she could park in my parking spot so getting a pass was absolutely mandatory. I knew that they were discriminating because it was a nose surgery. I told my mom to wait in the car I'm slowly made it inside the office while I was still coming off anesthesia. My bandages were really bloody and I had to cover my face with paper towels. Customers were staring , rolling their eyes at me and caught one taking a picture. The office first refused to help me because my lease was a PDF form, even though I opened all 24 pages and zoomed in to show my address. They told me that I need to go to UPS next-door to print one page of my lease with an address on it. At this point I was an emotional wreck. I went next-door to UPS and printed out the last page of the lease with my address on it and brought it back to the parking office. Because I was still heavily drugged I didn't realize the last page was a copy of my deposit to hold the apartment. I showed them the first page on my phone again and they told me to go back to ups to print it. I brought it back again and they said that I only had one out of two proof of addresses and that they would only give me one 30 day pass and waved a stack of temporary passes in the window and said I should've brought a second form. I don't yet have any bills I just moved in. At that point it had been an hour it's all because they assumed I had a cosmetic procedure done. I should not have been discriminated against and neither should people who do have cosmetic surgery. I'm extremely disappointed in the city of Los Angeles for not only discriminating against me but making me come inside of an office immediately after surgery and still on anesthesia. I hope this raises awareness and that change can be made. On a side note, they only looked at the lease page for a moment and gave it back to me. http://ladot.lacity.org/ContactUs/Parking/index.htm
