Here you have the fuel consumption (fuel economy) of Opel (Vauxhall) Astra 1.5D FWD 6MT with 1.5 l R3 turbo diesel engine (90 kW, 122 HP, 300 Nm) in a city, highway and autobahn, motorway, freeway, highway. Results for Opel (Vauxhall) Astra 1.5l diesel: eco city: 5.0 l/100 km (47.0 / 56.5 mpg US/UK) 90 km/h (56 mph): 3.3 l/100 km (71.3 / 85.6 mpg US/UK) 120 km/h (75 mph): 4.5 l/100 km (52.3 / 62.8 mpg US/UK) 140 km/h (87 mph): 5.7 l/100 km (41.3 / 49.6 mpg US/UK) As always, I checked real fuel consumption on a petrol station. I noticed 2% difference: computer shows lower by ~2% fuel consumption comparing to what I refueled. Procedure: I drive 33 km in both ways on a highway/motorway (16.5 in each direction). Energy consumption/economy in a city is measured in real-life traffic in Warsaw (Poland) in similar conditions: the same amount of heavy traffic, light traffic and quite similar average speed.
