Although the media has moved on, it is important for us to realize, and not forget, the devastation that these people have faced, and continue to help them in any way that we can. LYRICS: Let me paint a picture up in your mind; Something defined. A picture Mother Nature designed. March 11th; one slip, one faulty fission; a rumble, the premonition of a deadly addition to the days of thousands occupied in urban commotion; Unsuspecting, unprepared for the wrath of the ocean. That wrath, that moment, that fateful day, the day where they saw everything swept away. 2:45; the time. A quarter to three, typical day, everything is going fine; but one minute later; 2:46; the ground starts rumbling; something no one could predict. Bricks start falling. Buildings crumble. Houses, once homes, collapse to rubble; People scream for help as the survivors struggle, Trapped under the rock, their voices muffled. 2:52; six minutes have past; The rumbling comes to a stop; finally; at last. But little did they know, that was only the start; The quake was over; but that wasn't the worst part. One hour later; 3:55; Tsunami waves; 40 meters high; Destroyed half the country, as the waves plowed by. Powerless, the people nearby, could only stand by and just cry. I realize the rapping isn't perfect - I actually had a sore throat the day I recorded this, so I couldn't manage as many takes as I'd liked to have done - This was the best take out of the ones I was able to take.
