The Choir of the Cathedral Church of St John the Divine, New York City, under the direction of Paul Halley, sing a recital of a cappella music from across the centuries of the Anglican choral tradition. Founded in 1901, the Choir School of the Cathedral of St John the Divine began its life as a day school for boys. It became a boarding school in 1913, term-time home to up to 45 boy choristers whose lives revolved around the singing of daily services in the Cathedral. The School became a day school once again in 1964 and remains so in its modern incarnation.
