2000s Rap's video: Lil Scrappy - Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live

This is Lil' Scrappy's debut album, "Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live", released ten years ago today. The album achieved moderate success reaching 24th on the Billboard 200. The three most known songs are the first three singles from the album, "Money in the Bank", "Gangsta Gangsta" and "Oh Yeah (Work)". All three music videos were played frequently on MTV Jams and BET's Rap City. Though the singles would lead one to believe the album was full of fast-paced party songs, it's Scrappy's introspective work that sets him apart from some of his Crunk Era counterparts. Songs such as "Livin' in the Projects" and "Like Me" allow the rapper to express his feelings about who he truly is and where he came from, defying the odds along the way.
