اعلام برائت بسیجیان از حاکمیت نظام ولایت فقیه “I am a member of Basij force. During the recent events I realised I am not the guardian of religion, the nation or the homeland. I realised I was just a tool to destroy my countrymen and their legitimate demands. I was exploited by the corrupt religious power-lusting establishment, to loot my country's wealth. We the basijis have been deceived. We witnessed people’s hunger, unemployment and poverty but allowed ourselves to be exploited by the rulers. The religious government betrayed our people. Blood of war martyrs went to waste. I exclude myself from the actions of basij and the rulers, and along with my friends join the lines of our great but oppressed people. We hope you can forgive us. From this moment on I am my country’s (true) soldier. I request all my military and civilian countrymen to join other groups in the society to RISE UP against oppression and corruption.”
