2ndviolinist's video: Squirrels Cavorting to Swift Animals from Carnival of the Animals

@Squirrels Cavorting to "Swift Animals" from Carnival of the Animals
Video shot by my son, Alan, in 2011. Music is an excerpt from Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals with Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1929. I am pretty sure that the squirrel on the right is a female and the other 2 are males. The males are practicing for mating when fully mature. In the winter there are many bare trees that are interconnected over several back yards (the yards in this area are 100 feet wide). A squirrel will chase another one from tree to tree to tree and then the squirrel that have been chased will turn around and chase the original chaser. I can see the whole thing sitting at my kitchen table. I have only seen one fall out of a tree years ago when we had a dog named Squeak. Of course, it fell right in front of Squeak who was lying down. Squeak took out after the.squirrel which, instead of climbing out of range, ran round and round the nearest tree either teasing squeak or still dingy from the fall. It finally ran to the back fence and escaped but not without some damage.
