Rust on your vehicle can be a major eye sore. Most of the time, it starts on the inside of a panel and works its way out and can cause serious damage further down the road. The 3M Rust Preventer Spray features unique corrosion resistant chemistry to help stop rust before it even starts. The 360 degree spray pattern helps to provide full, uniform coverage to protect your vehicle and keep it looking new. First, determine the locations that require 3M Rust Preventer Spray. Common applications include door bottoms, rocker panels, wheel arches, hoods, and deck lids, among others. Do not apply to moving parts, window tracks, or exhaust systems. Next, assemble the wand. Completely insert each wand section to allow access to hard to reach areas. Make sure the wand is completely connected and no gap is present in the connector. Mark the wand about one inch from the nozzle end to indicate a stopping point when dispensing. Before spraying, shake the can for one minute to allow for complete mixing. Then, attach the actuator to the top of the can. Depress the actuator and slowly withdraw the wand. Stop when you see your reference mark, letting you know you are reaching the end. Repeat the application two to three times for maximum protection. Clean up any excess material or overspray with surface cleaner and a detail cloth or paper towel.
