421adventure's video: Extreme gravel roads and remote volcano trails - Cycling Argentina - Vlog 04

"Ripio" technically means "gravel" but here in Argentina it's used to talk about a road that's never been tarmacked and it's in very bad conditions... Every bike tourer´s nightmare and we were about to face the famous "Ripio de Mendoza" (83 kilometres of terrible gravel road) of this in intense heat and in a remote area ... The first week cycling on the Ruta 40 was probably the toughest! The worse part is that we had been warned by many cyclists but this leg was inevitable! So we just prepared the best we could and off we were! On the other hand, the Tromen Volcano Trail was just one of those irresistible attractions that we could have avoided, but just decided to tackle and loved!
