A Bothy Odyssey. Part 4: South West Highlands & Islands. MBA Bothys. The 4th of a series of photographic video’s of my Bothy adventures. And so to my second home... The Highlands & Islands of Scotland. I’ve spent so much time here I’m sure I’m a honorary Scot! I first started going to Scotland on Munro bagging missions in 1990, 5 years later the Corbett’s followed, together with numerous multi day treks and long distance trials, in many of these adventures I often stopped over in Bothys. Many, many times I would just hike to a Bothy for an overnight stop. I stopped in every one of this group of Bothys, some several times, the most being 7 in Peanmeanach which is one of my favourite Bothys, sadly no longer a MBA Bothy, but locked and available to rent by the estate. Support the Mountain Bothy Association. Go to work-party to help maintain these remote places. Follow the Bothy code. Leave the Bothy as you find it (Or better) and take all of your rubbish out with you. Information
