55lincoln's video: 1964 FORD GALAXIE 500 XL - THE HARDTOP COUPE

Filmed at a parking lot this original survivor was being looked over for possible sale. The Ford lineup for '64 included eight models. These started with the Series O Falcon, Series 10 Falcon, Series 20 Falcon wagons, Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Custom, Galaxie 500, and Country Squire station wagons. The Galaxie 500 models included two and four door sedans, hardtop coupes and sedans, Sunliner Convertible coupe and with the XL series - hardtop sedans, convertible coupes, and this hardtop coupe. This survivor is one of 58,306 copies and had a base price of $ 3,233. The engine selections started with the 289 V8 with 271 hp., a 352 with 250 hp., 390 with 330 hp., and the ultimate 427 with 425 hp. There were 16 paint choices this year and include : Raven Black, Pagoda Green, Dynasty Green, Silver Blue, Guardsman Blue, Prairie Tan, Silversmoke Gray, Prairie Bronze, Phoenician Yellow, Navaho Beige, Sunlight Yellow, Vintage Burgundy, Skylight Blue, Chantilly Beige, and this Ford is finished in Wimbledon White over Rangoon Red. The '64 Ford Galaxie is a favorite sixties Ford of mine and a pleasure to see this original example. Thanks for viewing.
