87 Seconds's video: Mustard Gas Cancer Medicine

@Mustard Gas = Cancer Medicine
War is one of the largest drivers of societal advancements. Whether it’s advancements in science, technology, engineering, or medicine. These advancements come both as a desire to do better on the war front. Such as deadlier weapons, faster computers, and more reliable equipment. But also as a way to either invent new products or recreate an already established product with different materials. Mustard Gas (Chlorine Sulfur) is one such example. Mustard Gas (Sulfur Mustard) earned its infamy in the trenches of World War I. Where the Germans used it to cause immensely painful burning burns and blisters. It was an absolute terror during the War. Its torturous side effects on top of its ability to absorb into the soil, clothing, and spread through physical contact kept the Allied soldiers on a paranoid state of constant vigilance. Despite its name, Mustard Gas (Sulfur Mustard) isn’t actually a gas, but a thick, oily liquid. When exposed, the weapon would strip the bronchial tubes of its mucus. Soldiers would be blinded, their eyelids stuck shut from puss. And their throats would constrict forcing them to fight for every single breath. Mustard Gas’ intended purpose was to disable infantry, not to cause death. But high exposure to the chemical agent would lead to an excruciatingly slow and painful death. The heavy use of Mustard Gas (Chlorine Sulfur) during the war incentived the Allied powers poured huge funding into the discovering cocktail’s properties and dampening its effects. The Allied powers were eventually able to recreate the weapon and in turn, use it on the Axis powers. Because of all this attention, researchers gained an understanding of Mustard Gas unrivaled among chemical weapons. And then..... plot twist!!! Watch the actual video now, I explain it better in the video than I do down here in the description box which nobody even bothers to read. We find out that Mustard Gas has some properties that can treat cancer. It destroys cells in our bodies, therefore it might be able to be used to kill malignant cells. J.D. was some fellow with severe lymphoma (cancer) and he became the first person to receive a nitrogen mustard treatment. It's a derivative of Mustard Gas. J.D. gradually grew healthier and healthier because of the nitrogen mustard treatment. He eventually died when his cells became immune to the treatment. J.D. was the first person to receive what's now known as chemotherapy. - The video's thumbnail was edited from a picture of Smoke from Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege.
