949 Racing - SuperMiata's video: GT350 Streets of Willow CW 7 6 17 - Chasing William GT350

Me chasing William in his Grabber Blue GT350. Mine is identical save for Project 6GR "R" sized wheels with Hankook PS4's. We did some back to back testing. The RS4's were almost 2s a lap faster than the OEM PSS on Streets. On a more typical 2 minute course we would expect that margin to grow. 100° ambient, ~135° track temps. PSS could do one lap before falling off precipitously. RS4's would go about 3 laps before falling off significantly. The heavy GT350 wheel, huge brake in close proximity to the wheel contributed to tires that would not cool off during the session once overheated. On a cooler track, perhaps one could do a few slops laps to bring them back. We found the car needed to be pulled off track and parked for the tires to cool enough to match the first and second lap times.
