A Bucket and A Shovel's video: Dell XPS Bad BIOS Graphic Drivers and Microsoft Update 1079 full of flaws

@Dell XPS, Bad BIOS, Graphic Drivers and Microsoft Update 1079 full of flaws.
I have a computer - Finally... Thank you to everyone for their suggestions. I can now provide a longer video of what happened during my call with the Dell Support Team. I received an error message that I was out of disk space even though I had only had the computer for six hours and had only a couple of files on it at the time. The other error message was a blue screen with a message that said something like don't shut down the computer as it's doing updates. However, the screen never changed for days. If I shut it down and turned it back on the next day it still had the same message. Many calls later and it still wasn't fixed. I sent it back and now have purchased another computer. If you plan on purchasing a Dell XPS 9560 please listen it might be of interest to you. Me: So all the updates are taking up the hard drive space of 512 SSD. Does a person need a terabyte or what? Him: This computer is built more for speed and cloud storage rather than storage on the computer itself. Keeping in mind the people who go to college or don't have much to store that information on the college cloud these models are made for keeping that segment in mind. Me: I thought this was for gaming and so forth. Like youtube videos, graphic design, web page development etc (is what I meant to say) Him: No No this laptop is not for gaming. Me: XPS is not for gaming. Him: No No. All though it's an XPS I agree with you. This is not meant for gaming. If your trying to store on the computer than I'd suggest you get an external hard drive. I'll tell you why. As I was saying before the latest update in Windows that was launched in November the update 1079 was a very large update. A huge update. It's got a lot of flaws as well. A lot of flaws in that update. I'm sure Microsoft knows about it and is working day in and day out to fix the flaws. It will take some time. Because of those flaws, you know the computers around the world has been affected. Store programs on an external hard drive. Windows has an option where some programs can be moved to an external hard drive. So if you want to store pictures, documents and things like that it's better you do it on an external hard drive and leave the internal space as free as much as possible. Because again if the internal storage gets full or it's partially to be full there is very little space and if new updates come in they will not get installed and again it will be back to square one you'll see installing updates and it will get stuck and say there is no storage space and errors and... Me: That's what I'm saying I bought a computer and gave you all my needs and now I'm being told that the computer that I spent a great deal of money on is not at all what my needs were so it's a little disconcerting and quite sad. That my 512 SSD hard drive is going to be full very soon with all these Microsoft updates and that my use of the system even if I don't put anything on it is not going to last the 4 years my warranty even is for due to all the updates that are coming because my hard drive is a 512 SSD. That is a little sad. Him: No it is. Honestly, we don't have control of the updates or what update is going to be released or when. Him: I stopped the updates from Windows to update any kind of drivers at this time. Me: No driver updates at this time. Him: It will show that the drivers are available for example NVidia show display driver but internally I have turned that off in Windows. Him: it will download drivers but not install them. The blue screens that you were getting before were because of faulty drivers. So once again if you get any updates from support assist, for now, do not do it because those updates some of the updates like the BIOS will show up quite frequently do not do the BIOS update because in the last couple of months we've seen the BIOS update has caused instability in a lot of computers so probably the latest BIOS version will be withdrawn very soon. That's the only thing you need to avoid otherwise so everything should be fine. They also did not refund the whole amount as they said they would. There you go. Hope this helped answer some of the questions I'm getting.
