Our tour van had AC on and was not too crowded. Day was slowly getting hotter in the desert. Within half an hour of leaving Cairo, the landscape started to change. We passed through agricultural lands, terrain full of rocks and desert sand. I saw some buildings and small towns, bazaars and shopping complexes in between. Saw some buildings, like 4 or 5 together, but nothing after that mile after mile. You would see a small open market all of a sudden and then it would be nothing for a while. I felt like I was in another time and place. The kind of feelings traveling to another place gives you because this is something beyond my imaginations.
