When we saw that everyone liked both parts of our stock market series “Bazar Ke Bol” very much. We gained insight into the perspectives of Mohali and Delhi people regarding the Stock Market and trading. We learned a lot from them. That's why we have come today to a village in Punjab to understand the thoughts of the people of Punjab about the stock market. This way, we can find out how much people in the villages of Punjab know about the stock market and whether they consider it a form of gambling or a good profession. As we continued to talk to the people of the village, we discovered that many of them had witnessed losses in the stock market when dealing with other people's investments. This led to a general perception that the stock market wasn't a favourable option. We also encountered a lady who runs a dispensary in the village. She informed us that the local residents had limited understanding of the stock market. While college students might have some knowledge of the stock market or financial education, children in schools were largely unaware of these concepts. The majority of people in the village preferred to invest their money in agriculture. When we inquired where the locals invested their money, they mentioned that they preferred investing in gold or building homes. For them, investing in gold or constructing a house was a matter of trust that they would receive returns in the future, whereas they perceived the stock market as carrying a higher risk of losses. People say that a farmer in their village ran away with a significant amount of money from people, claiming to introduce a lottery scheme. Because of this incident, people have lost trust in the stock market. Locals there believe that those who lack knowledge about the stock market perceive it as gambling because it involves risk. However, those who understand it as a valuable profession treat it differently. However, our experience has been very positive, and we discovered that many people in the village also have knowledge about the stock market, while there are others who do not think of the stock market as a form of gambling.
