Watch the interview of Mr & Mrs Ramamurthy. Mr.Ramamurthy is a retired Meteorologist from the Regional Meteorological Centre, Nungambakkam Chennai. Joined service- November 1981 at Kodaikanal and then relocated to Chennai in September 1983. He served the department till his retirement in April 2018. He suffers from a kidney ailment since 2004. He has been managing his ailment without dialysis by simply following a strict diet viz. His methods include consumption of 3 gm salt with one liter water. His wife, Santhi, is a pillar of strength. She keeps a strict vigil on his food habits by preparing a special diet exclusively for her husband .Their son Ganesh has completed his MS at Boston USA, and as promised has returned to India to be with his parents. He is now working in Chennai and living with them. They both believe that their affectionate and dutiful daughter in law is a gift from God!
