¿Will Artificial Intelligence gain consciousness and take over the world or is it just propaganda? Artificial intelligence facts are hard to come by amidst the sensationalist media portrayals of AI, where the impression is given that artificial intelligence robots are going to gain consciousness and wipe out humanity. But the truth is scarier than that. Artificial Intelligence and Christianity intersect when we consider what the Book of Revelation predicts about a final world government taking control over the whole planet and causing everyone to have a mark on their right hand or forehead, without which nobody can buy or sell. This is the famous mark of the beast prophecy. Such a prophecy is quickly becoming a reality in our times and artificial technologies seems key to its implementation. However, beyond the fictional stories of Artificial Intelligence and robots taking over the world, there is a more somber, frightening and realistic fact, and that is that human beings can and will (mis)use artificial intelligence for their own nefarious purposes.
