The Firdaus Sessions format was created by A.R.Rahman & Firdaus Studio to bring together artists from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, with the intention of creating unlikely collaborations that result in unique statements in art, poetry, and music. The first installments of the Firdaus Sessions feature a delicate blend of poetry and musical improvisation performed by our special guests, including Dana Dajani (Palestine), Seeta Qasemi (Afghanistan), and Nirmika Singh (India), with accompaniment from the Firdaus Orchestra and A.R.Rahman himself. Firdaus Studio’s vision is to become a leading musical hub for the region, an environment that supports established talent and professionals whilst taking an active role in championing the next generation of talent, building on the legacy of A.R.Rahman and the spirit of Expo 2020. Firdaus Studio Firdaus Studio is a collaboration between A.R. Rahman and Expo 2020 Dubai and is set to become the UAE’s first world-class recording studio and film scoring facility. Firdaus Studio features state-of-the-art technology with best-in-class audio equipment and in-house instruments. The Scoring Room can accommodate and record up to 80 musicians at once and functions across multiple formats including; cinema mode, performance mode, orchestra mode, and recording mode.
