ACBMemphis's video: GE Profile PS978ST1SS Bad Keypad Not recommended

@GE Profile PS978ST1SS Bad Keypad/Not recommended!
Some of the keys stopped working on our GE Profile Electric Range (Model PS978ST1SS). Replacing the control panel assembly was easy, but the part was VERY expensive. However, it was still cheaper than purchasing a new double oven/stove. One reason we selected this specific model is the controls are up front - it does not have them on a "hump" sticking up in the back. Unfortunately, the design causes the heat to flow over the keypad, which is just a thin film stuck to the back of a glass panel. If you are thinking of buying this oven, based on my experience I would NOT recommend it! All of the appliances in my kitchen were General Electric stainless and put into service about 2013. They've all had fatal problems in the past year or two. Fortunately, I have been able to replace parts and keep them working, but reliability is still disappointing when compared to similar appliances from past generations...
