ADVENTURE CAMPitelli's video: Was Bali Worth It Struggled 2 Days with No Money Then Went Biking

In this video, we go on a back-country biking tour in Ubud, Bali. It was an amazing experience as we cycled through towns and villages near the countryside of Ubud. The town of Ubud, in the countryside of Bali, Indonesia, is known as a center for traditional arts and crafts as well as cafes and restaurants. Ubud is close to the rainforest and terraced rice paddies and many famous Hindu temples. The kids loved biking in Bali as there were so many interesting things to see and learn about along the way. We cycled past many farms and we got to stop and see the local farm animals like cows and pigs and even a huge scary spider. Part of the tour included going into a traditional Balinese home, meeting a local family and learning how they lived. The people in Bali are so warm and friendly and welcomed us with open arms. We even got to try a few local Balinese snacks they were making. An interesting thing we learned is that each home has its own temple. One of the highlights of the Bali cycling trip was a celebration of a Balinese holiday called Galungan. During the 10-day period, it is believed that gods and ancestors descend to earth. We were there on the last day which is called Kuningan is known as a day for prayer and honouring ancestors. There was a parade that day of Balinese people dressed in traditional clothing walking through the streets. We loved seeing the beautiful bright clothing and watching people bring out offerings to be blessed by the people in the parade. We also stopped to see the view of the volcanoes including Mount Agung, which is currently an active volcano. The trip ended with an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. The food in Bali is absolutely incredible. This biking adventure is well worth the 3 hours of driving there and back to our hotel!
