Fast or Slow. Which type of downhill rider are you? Do you want to be in control while riding dirt bikes down steep trails or do you want to be cautious. That is actually a trick question. Riding faster down steep inclines is easier and safer than riding slower, well to a point. Trying to ride too slow with too much braking causes your tires to skid around making the descent much harder. Keeping some speed allows you to roll over the loose terrain actually allowing you to have more control. But there is one caveat, once you get to a certain speed there is no way to slow down or stop. You are committed to riding at that speed or or higher until you get to the bottom of the mountain.
