This seemingly mild crash resulted in a relatively bad knee injury. I have had this type of crash on my dirt bike many times before but this time my foot got stuck under a boulder and got twisted. I'm not even sure why I lost control of the bike in the first place as I had the skills to ride up a rocky section of trail like this. I think my rear tire may have defected off of a baby head rock throwing me off balance. And the strangest thing is my knee felt fine and didn't hurt or swell up during the entire ride. But once we stopped for lunch it started to stiffen up with a fair amount of pain when I tried to walk on it. It's been a slow and frustrating recovery but it could have been a lot worse. I think I might be ready to get back on the bike for an easy ride soon.
