You can see in all their faces the impact Billy Preston made right off the bat. Made all the difference in the world, and The Beatles put Billy Preston's name on their Get Back Album, also producing Billy Preston's future albums. When John Lennon says "I Wish I Had Yesterday's Voice With Today's Backing" he's referring to Billy Preston showing up to say hello while being in London with Ray Charles. After stating they needed a piano player for many of their songs, and told Billy you can take some back with you to try and get a feeling for them, Billy said let's do it now, and you can tell by the looks on all their faces when Billy opened up with his immediate rendition of piano on the songs they asked him to play. In my opinion, this man saved that album by stopping in to say hello. The Beatles rewarded this by putting his name on the Get Back Album and signing him to record Billy's upcoming albums with Apple Records. Good for Billy Preston and Good on the Beatles for doing the right thing!
