ANI Bharat's video: COVID-19 vaccines reduce infection mortality risk in organ transplant patients

@COVID-19 vaccines reduce infection, mortality risk in organ transplant patients
New Delhi, Aug 17 (ANI): According to a new research, vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 substantially lowers the risks of breakthrough infections and death due to COVID-19 in adult organ transplant recipients. The findings of the study were published in the journal 'Transplantation', the official Journal of The Transplantation Society and the International Liver Transplantation Society. The journal is published in the Lippincott portfolio by Wolters Kluwer. Transplantation Editor-in-Chief Jeremy R. Chapman, MD, commented, “These studies show that vaccine protects transplant patients and cuts mortality by about half, but sadly deaths are still much higher in transplant patients than in the vaccinated general population.” Chapman added, “The message to patients is clear - get vaccinated, but carry on being very cautious, wear masks, maintain distances and don't get into crowds.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enjoy and stay connected with us!! ☛ Like us: https://www.facebook.com/ANINEWS.IN ☛Follow us : https://twitter.com/ANI ☛ Visit us : https://www.aninews.in/ ☛ Feedback to Shrawan K Poddar : shrawankp@aniin.com
