She’s the progenitor of Chakra on Earth. Kaguya, as we know, belongs to Otsutsuki clan. kaguya Otsutsuki return She was sent on Earth to harvest that chakra fruit, but she betrayed her clan and consumed the fruit herself. This chakra fruit was very strong as it was the product of the blood of millions of people of Earth. As we know at that time when Kaguya arrived that was the period of endless war. Kaguya Otsutsuki after consuming the chakra fruit awakened her Rinne Sharingan and was successful in casting the Infinite Tsukuyomi. This did bring false peace in the world for some time. kaguya Otsutsuki Boruto Later, she fell in love with a human and had two sons, Hagoromo Otsutsuki and Hamura Otsutsuki who later sealed their mother when they got to know that she’s trapping humans in the God tree. Then she again appeared in Naruto series in the Fourth Great War when again she used the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and again was sealed by Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha with Kakashi Hatake’s help. Mangekyou Sharingan abilities Thus, she is still sealed away and not dead. Meaning that there is a possibility that she could return in Boruto series but will she return in Boruto or not? Well, let’s see, why did she betray her clan in the first place? It is known that she is the princess of her clan meaning that there also exist her parents who directed her to go to Earth. She knew that the intention of the Otsutsuki clan regarding humans was pure evil and the reason Kaguya Otsutsuki used Infinite Tsukuyomi in the first place was that she could stop the unnecessary bloodshed. Even though she grew mad after gaining insane power but maybe she wasn’t a bad Otsutsuki in the first place. Kaguya Otsutsuki return Like Hagoromo and Hamura she too wanted to do good for humanity and that is the reason she consumed the fruit herself and betrayed her clan. So, many fans think that if she reappears in Boruto she’ll just go and cast Infinite Tsukuyomi again but there is also a possibility that she could turn out to be an ally. If the Otsutsuki clan wages a war on Earth will Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha and other be enough to stop many god level characters at once? Kaguya Boruto I don’t think so and thus in order to deal with the evil Otsutsuki clan, Kaguya Otsutsuki might be unsealed by Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha in Boruto series and this in this way Kaguya Otsutsuki will return in Boruto series. But it’s not certain that she could turn out to be an ally for humans. Well, she betrayed her clan and then was betrayed by her own sons and sealed away. Kaguya return Later she was revived and then again sealed this time by humans. Thus, there is also a possibility that Kaguya Otsutsuki hated Earth and humans more than she disliked her clan. Also, the Otsutsuki clan knows how powerful Kaguya is. I think that she could be also revived by some Otsutsuki clan member, maybe Urashiki Otsutsuki. We do know that Urashiki Otsutsuki is loyal to his clan, but he might know that facing Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha won’t be easy. So, he needs help to defeat them and who better to call for help than Kaguya Otsutsuki. Urashiki return In return for reviving Kaguya Otsutsuki, Urashiki will ask her help to wipe out the main hindrance to taking control over Earth. Thus, in this way as well Kaguya Otsutsuki return in Boruto is possible.
