Im Auftrag der Altstoff Recycling Austria (ARA) wurde erstmals für eine nationale Volkswirtschaft der so genannten „Circularity Gap“ berechnet: Österreichs Wirtschaft ist zu 9,7 % zirkular. Am 19.6.2019 wurde die Studie in Wien präsentiert und Perspektiven aufgezeigt. Über die Studienergebnisse informierten Harald Friedl (Geschäftsführer Circle Economy), Marc de Wit (Studienautor Circle Economy), Christoph Scharff (ARA Vorstand) und Christian Holzer (Sektionschef BMNT).
