Our test of the 2008 Polaris Outlaw 450 MXR from 2008. With a powerplant based on the KTV 450 XC dirt bike's it yields smooth strong power delivery off the bottom that builds throughout the midrange before signing off on top. Marketed as a motocross macine it came with 18" Maxxis Razr rear tires but its 47" width was still a bit narrow for the track. Although its reverse gear and width that sat between what's ideal for cross country and motocross made it a capable do-it-all machine in stock trim.
