De nombreux tunnels furent construits à Pontchâteau par l'armée allemande pour le stockage des mines magnétiques et pour abriter un canon de 24cm. Aujourd'hui seul le fond du tunnel abritant le canon et le bunker se trouvant a l'entrée du tunnel sont visitables.
