James Stoup and I had been trying to ride together for a while and he finally had a free Saturday to come up to South Mountain. The problem is that Dusty Betty and Steve (from Hardtail Party) were having a group ride for patreons (which I am, so I signed up for that group ride before I knew James was coming). Well a local bike shop, Action Ride Shop, had a group up there too with Rob Drew. Combine that with the typical 1.2 million hikers on any given Saturday and well, it was like Grand Central Station at SoMo that day. We tried to make the best of it though.
