Ingredients:
1. Onion - 200g
2. Oil / Ghee - 200ml
3. Green Chilli - 2
4. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
5. Aachi Dindigul Biryani Masala - 50g
6. Chicken or Pre-cooked Mutton - 500g
7. Seeraga Samba Rice - 500g
8. Salt - To Taste
9. Chopped Mint or Coriander Leaves - 1 Cup
10. Water - As Required
Recipe:
1. Clean chicken or mutton pieces with water and turmeric powder.
2. Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker and saute onion slices till golden brown.
3. Add green chillies and ginger garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell goes off.
4. Add aachi dindigul biryani masala, tomatoes, curd, lemon juice, chopped mint or coriander leaves and cook till the tomatoes are soft.
5. Add chicken or pre-cooked mutton and mix well.
6. Add required quantity of water and seeraga samba rice.
7. Add salt to taste.
8. Top with chopped mint or coriander leaves. Cook till 3 whistles. Let it stand for 15 minutes (till pressure settles).
9. Tasty dindigul biryani is ready to serve.
