, , , , , , ABOUT The Festival first began on February 16, 1996[2] and took a total of 45 days to construct before launching.[4] The idea for the festival was first created by Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.[5] The year 2019 is its 24th year of operation.[2] The 24th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival from 2018-2019 will take place for over five weeks, which marks the longest period of time that the festival has run so far.[6] “One World, One Family, One Festival” is the motto for the Dubai Shopping Festival.[7]
