दुल्हन के घर बारात जाने से पहले कुछ ऐसा होता है पहाड़ों की शादियों में - aao uttarakhand dekho..छलिया नृत्य (जिसे छोलिया भी कहा जाता है) उत्तराखंड राज्य के कुमाऊं क्षेत्र का एक प्रचलित लोकनृत्य है। यह एक तलवार नृत्य है, जो प्रमुखतः शादी-बारातों या अन्य शुभ अवसरों पर किया जाता है।[1] यह विशेष रूप से कुमाऊँ मण्डल के पिथौरागढ़, चम्पावत, बागेश्वर और अल्मोड़ा जिलों में लोकप्रिय है। एक छलिया टीम में सामान्यतः २२ कलाकार होते हैं, जिनमें ८ नर्तक तथा १४ संगीतकार होते हैं। इस नृत्य में नर्तक युद्ध जैसे संगीत की धुन पर क्रमबद्ध तरीके से तलवार व ढाल चलाते हैं, जो कि अपने साथी नर्तकियों के साथ नकली लड़ाई जैसा प्रतीत होता है। वे अपने साथ त्रिकोणीय लाल झंडा (निसाण) भी रखते हैं। नृत्य के समय नर्तकों के मुख पर प्रमुखतः उग्र भाव रहते हैं, जो युद्ध में जा रहे सैनिकों जैसे लगते हैं।
