Boracay, in the Philippines, had just reopened to tourists for the first time since the pandemic lockdowns. There were few crowds, zero foreign tourists, and everything from flights to accommodations to motorcycle rental was dirt cheap. Major expenses were: Return flights Manila-Boracay for 2: USD80 5D4N Accommodations: USD110 It's doubtful this will ever happen again! Today the crowds and foreign tourists are back in Boracay and the locals are getting back on their feet. This is the story of that brief window when we had five days of Boracay virtually to ourselves, dining and riding around the island.
