Now, with this tutorial, I show you how to use Google Sheets to organize that attendance file and understand how many times each student attended. Google Sheets is a great tool that can organize so much student data for you, and this tutorial shows you how to do all those things without problem. The function being used in the video is the "COUNTIF" function, and it allows you to count just how many times a student has attended your class in any given month. The exact phrasing of the function is =COUNTIF(C2:C40, "Student"), where C2:C40 is your range and "Student" is the name of the student you are tracking.
