Live at Billboard Live Tokyo, April 17, 2019 (2nd show) 4 days before April 21. Sometimes weather forecasts go wrong. I had expected snow (or purple rain) on this night, but it didn't at all. Instead, we got this terrifying Atomic Dog falling. It totally blew me away. The show was more than I expected. That was sort of like "Nina Simone (or Sade) backed by Can (or Portishead in the late 00s, or PJ Harvey's band in the mid 90s, or…the Doors???)" and they played R&B classics from the 80s. What a strange combination. The amazing drummer is called Abe Rounds. He can sing too! In addition to cover songs like Nite and Day, Be My Husband (KILLING!), I Wonder If…, Tender Love, Waterfalls, she sang her old song Wasted Time (from the Bitter album) with a new twist, and that was so beautiful.
