And with the film maintaining an amazing 80 per cent occupancy, we are sure Salman’s latest release will continue to rake in the money. In fact, trade experts believe that the film will continue to ROAR at the box office and easily collect Rs 100 crore in 3 days. However, Sultan‘s business on Saturday and Sunday will determine if it will be able to compete against Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PK‘s collection or not. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on Twitter, “ had a FABULOUS Day 2… Was ROCKING from evening shows onwards… Plexes, single screens saw BIG gains… S-U-P-E-R-B… should comfortably cross Rs 100 cr on Fri [Day 3], IF it maintains the same momentum… Sat + Sun biz should add to the HUGE total.” We still await the official figures for day two, but definitely the film is on a roll now. The huge positive word of mouth publicity means that it can compete against the massive three day collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year (Rs 108.80 crore). It will be a tough task, but as you have seen in the film, Salman will never give up. The film has received positive reviews from the critics as well as the aam junta. And now that Eid celebrations are over, we will quite a few Salman Khan fans go to see the film, especially today being Friday. We expect average occupancy of about 50-60 per cent throughout the day, but it will rise to about 90 per cent in the evening shows,meaning that Sultan will have a bumper collection even today.
