About Space Only's video: NASA s Perseverance Rover Microphone Captures Sounds from Mars

These sounds from the surface of Mars were recorded by the microphone on the side of NASA’s Perseverance Rover on February 20, 2021. In this video, a Martian breeze is audible for a few seconds, as are mechanical sounds of the rover operating on the surface. In another video, sounds from the rover were filtered to make sounds of the Martian wind more audible: https://youtu.be/SBv1XWAQKJE This is the first time a Mars rover has been equipped with a microphone. The images in this video were taken by Perseverance's Navigation Cameras, or Navcams, on the same day as the microphone sounds, February 20, 2021.
