Since then lots of things happened: Marlon founded his record labels Metrophonic Resistance (for Hard Trance and Hardstyle), Pure Energy Records (Trance), Sonic Flash (HandsUp and Happy Hardcore) and Sonic Art Music (House, EDM) which took and still take a lot of his time since he always tries to care as much as he can about his artists, giving them the best support - with his now 15 years of experience as a mastering engineer and of course with his 25 years of being a songwriter, composer and producer. Speaking of which: in October 2020 Accuface celebrated his 25 years artist anniversary - exactly 25 years ago he released his debut EP "On your own". Meanwhile Tunnel Records doesn't exist anymore and got sold. After a while Marlon had to find out that even the new company didn't exist anymore so he saw all his songs spread on the internet without any control. So he started what would become a quite tough challenge: collecting all data of all songs spread all over the internet, fighting hard to get his rights of to his own songs finally back and to envetually force a take-down of the old songs (a transfer of rights wasn't possible). This took quite a while and after getting back the rights Marlon took the chance to take advantage of his meanwhile perfected skills as a mastering engineer. So he remastered all his tracks from the original DAT (Digital Audio Tape) masters. On his new album "Bring It Back" he collected 14 songs that either have never been released as full length version (because they were formerly only available as in-the-mix snippet on compilations such as "Tunnel Trance Force" or "DJ Networx" or they have never been released at all). Among those is for instance the very first version of "(Don't try) The Apprehendum" from 1996 that later would become a Trance classic as part of Accuface's EP "Millenium Bug" from 2000. This version on "Bring It Back" is pure Rave sound with banging 165 BPM! But also his very trancy song "Leaving Earth" finally sees the light of day. Asking why it has never been released, Marlon says: "When I created it I found it being too "trancy" for Tunnel. I wanted to find a better suiting label for it - but then I probably got distracted and it got forgotten on a DAT tape. Glad I accidentally found it and was able to remaster it now. It's very 90's sounding classic Trance." Among those 14 tracks are also party bangers like "Wildstyle" with it's iconic rap part and a melody that can absolutely keep up with the catchyness of Accuface's well-known classic "Red Sky". Another collectors item is the formerly unreleased first remix that Alex Megane delivered for "Your Destination". Marlon recalls: "This was even before Megane's breakthrough with "So Today" - a song I helped him to get vocals for. I got in touch with songwriter Alexander Perls (who wrote the lyrics for "Your Destination" and "Pure Energy"). As a "thank you" Alex created a remix for "Your Destination". After delivering his first version he came up with a second one on which he created something that soon after should become his ultimate signature sound. So we went for the second version." Since the first mix was already really cool Marlon decided to put it as a bonus on "Bring it Back" - of course also remastered. Talking of which: all songs are in High Quality 24 bit Remasters. Marlon spared no effort and even adjusted the masters for the streaming services. "The ones who buy the album should get the best possible sound so should the people who prefer streaming them!", Marlon says. And they definitely will! "Bring It Back" by Accuface is OUT NOW worldwide in all downloadshops and streaming services (link above).
