A great venue for bluegrass, plenty of shade, friendly folks and historic buildings and memorabilia to add to this unique setting. The owners of this park have been holding bluegrass festivals for 40 years. One on Labor Day weekend and this Gospel Bluegrass Festival on Memorial weekend. I was in Houston on business and was only able to stop by for a few hours. I apologize for the average quality...I didnt have my digital cam with me and just had to use my old cell phone. The group featured here is The Baker Family. The daughter carrying lead vocals and mandolin is only 15 years old, and her little brother on bass and vocals is only 13! In the second tune, Sally Goodin, the whole group shows off their talents by trading instruments several times and taking breaks on each one!
