Adi Goluguri's video: Raita great accompaniment for Biryanis and Pulaos

Raita is great accompaniment for Biryanis and Pulao: This yogurt based raita is smooth and goes nice with any sort of spicy rice dishes. You can also use this accompaniment for aloo paratha or any sort of paratha as well. There are quite some varieties of raitas that you can make. Here in this video i have shown two variations. Masala Raita and Boondi raita. Specially boondi raita goes nice with Bisi Bele Baath. Ingredients: Yogurt: 3/4 th cup of Curd/yogurt Finely chopped onions: 1 Finely chopped tomatoes:1 Finely chopped Coriander leaves: Very few leaves Grated Carrot: 1 Dry Mango powder: 1/4th table spoon Red chili powder: 1/4th table spoon Salt to taste Boondi: 2 to 3 table spoons Direction: I. Onion based raita(masla Raita): 1. Beat the thick yogurt, mix the finely chopped onions, tomatoes & carrots with it. 2. Add 1/4th table spoon of dry mango powder, a pinch of red chili powder and salt to taste mix it well. 3. Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves. I prefer to keep in refrigerator for half an hour, but not mandatory. II. Boondi based raita: 1. Beat the yogurt, add 1/4th table spoon of dry mango powder, a pinch of red chili powder, boondi, salt to taste and mix together. 2. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. As you have added boondi, don't keep in refrigerator.
