Adventure Van Freddie's video: Pt 3 A camper van drive under rainy skies The NC500 adventure continues to the NW coast

What do you do when it's raining? Visit a cave of course! However, it must be said that Smoo Cave has rather a large hole in the roof, so the shelter is minimal. Wow, it's rather impressive at 130ft wide and is absolutely worth the visit rain or shine. This was a bit of a 'down day' as the weather prevented us fulfilling our plans. We are reluctant to push further south as we don't want to miss the views and possible photographs that we know are there, so instead we just 'bimble' around the area. Due to the weather we decide to take a leisurely drive inland on a recce mission for any future visits and photographic potential. The day is mainly filled with driving, but it doesn't stop us discovering on the way. We stay the night at Droman Pier, a small fishing pier in a stunning location and the weather at last gives us a small break. Kylesku bridge has become a famous NC500 landmark, and I have to get a video of Freddie on the bridge.....at all costs, raining or not!
