Adventures of Riley Madison's video: BLACK WALL STREET TULSA OKLAHOMA

We took Riley to what used to be called “Black Wall Street“ and shared the History behind it. In 1921 race riots broke out after a black male entered an elevator with a white female elevator operator. It was reported that she let out a scream but the story is still unknown as to what happened. The black man was a shoe shiner and enter the building because it had the ownly bathroom in tosn that “blacks“ could use. He was arrested and white mobs showed up to the courthouse to get him and lynch him withoutknowing the full story. They weren’t able to get him and that’s when a race riot started. The white mobs started shooting black people and burning down their homes and businesses. Over 300 people were killed and over 10,000 became homeless.
