Afri Docs's video: Aquarius Rescue in Deadly Waters Frank Dhelens Jean-Paul Mari Mediterranean 2016 52 min

@Aquarius, Rescue in Deadly Waters | Frank Dhelens, Jean-Paul Mari | Mediterranean | 2016 | 52 min
The Mediterranean is a cemetery. More and more men, women and children are trying to reach Europe by crossing the Mediterranean. Many perish in the waters. Some 40 000 in fifteen years. "If Europe does nothing, we must act", says Klaus Vogel, German co-founder of "SOS Méditerranée" and captain of the Aquarius, a vessel for 300 passengers. What started out as a Franco-German and then Italian humanitarian initiative, has become a civic European organisation for the rescue of people in distress in the Mediterranean. Two reporters have embarked for three weeks to take part in the rescue operations and to witness the daily commitment of a group of people when faced with the desperate plight of others. http://afridocs.net/migrantstories/ See the best in documentary right here.
