Zina's video: Rest peacefully Cheyenne

Yesterday I helped my senior baby Cheyenne pass away comfortably and peacefully at home with the assistance of Dr. Bart and Angel Vet. Since the passing of Massimo two years ago, Cheyenne’s health has declined dramatically. Massimo was my senior rescued greyhound and the kindest, silliest boy I’ve ever met. Massimo and Cheyenne were bonded and absolutely adored each other. He was at the end of his life cycle two years ago, but I will never forget the shock of coming home from volunteering at the sanctuary to find him passed away next to his bed. Cheyenne was by his side… she was with him in his final moments. She was so loyal in that moment and always… she was my strong little girl. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I’ve tried to prepare myself mentally for the inevitable day Cheyenne would pass away as well. However, there’s no way to actually prepare for profound grief. All I could do was keep my girl as healthy, happy, and comfortable as possible until it was her time. She stopped eating two days ago and I had to make the choice to do the compassionate thing. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve loved both of my babies with my entire heart and I thank them for saving me… for guiding me when I was lost and for celebrating with me as we’ve achieved so many wonderful things together. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ At last, Massimo and Cheyenne are reunited… rest peacefully my babies.
